As one of the most climactic conversations in the series. Rumors are swirling that the follow-up season will only span seven episodes, which is two episodes shorter than the show's pilot season. Ass a result, fans are eager to find out if that's enough screen time to cover the entire storyline of The Last of Us Part II, or if the video game adaptation will require another season to reach its conclusion. The official release date for The Last of Us Season 2 has yet to be confirmed, but it's expected to premiere sometime in 2025. 1:41 More HBO's The Last of Us May Make TLoU 2's Biggest Moment Even More Controversial As a recent sneak peek of The Last of Us season 2 emerged ahead of its early 2025 premiere, there's concern that the HBO series might repeat the same divisive storytelling approach from the game. The show's potential focus on Abby's perspective, similar to the game, could lead to further controversy. Given the show's wider reach, handling this dual narrative will be challenging, especially as many viewers may find it difficult to sympathize with Abby after what she did to Joel.

Hi. I made some research about the issue, specially about my card, which is Rx 6800 XT. I tried to play game last week, on 24.2.1, game was crashing every few minutes (usually crash before 5 minutes runs out). Game log say "device removed". I checked event viewer and device wasn't removed. There was no u plugging sound, driver did NOT crashed, only game did. I quickly found out (from steam forums) that disabling SAM fixes the issue. And indeed it fixed it. I have reported issue via driver bug reporting tool 2 or 3 days before new drivers was released. So I installed 24.3.1 drivers, played around the hour no crash. Did you updated SAM profile for this game, or can I expect it will crash again on next session? I have no complete chassis for my PC (I'm painting it), so I cannot check this right now, but after I will done painting I want to play TLOU, and want to know, if I will be able to.Just for quick troubleshooting steps I tried on 24.2.1:- tried all video settings presets (including fsr on/off)- vsync on/off, Frame rate cap on/off (in game)- tried all texture optimisations options for this game in adrenaline software.- Radeon chill on/off (60fps), frame rate cap to 60 (on/off)Now what is more strange, I played this game few months ago, in December or November 2023 and it was not crashing.May it be related to shader cache size limit (4gb)? I played "gunner heat PC", "wreckfest", "Alan wake 2", "the last of us", "pacific drive", "gates of hell ostfront ", "robocop". BTW - AMD - 4gb limit for shader cache is way to small for today's games - let's not lie ourself - optimisation of today titles is on its knees. There should be adjustable limit

Summary The No Return game mode in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered allows players to control previously inaccessible characters, each with their own playstyle and starting equipment. Unlocking characters in No Return requires completing a certain number of encounters with other characters, and while none are outright bad, some characters provide better advantages than others. Characters like Joel have great starting equipment, but Traits that provide serious detriments. The best characters have Traits that are universally useful in No Return. The major draw of No Return, the new roguelike game mode added to The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, is being able to use character players have heretofore been unable to control. Abby, Ellie, and Joel are all unsurprisingly among the No Return roster, joined by Dina, Jesse, Tommy, Lev, Yara, Mel, and Manny. While randomized gauntlets of encounters are sure to keep the game mode dynamic, it's made all the more varied by each character also having their own playstyle, complete with different starting equipment and traits. No Return has players start with only Ellie and Abby unlocked. Completing a certain number of encounters with Ellie will unlock Dina, and using Abby will eventually make Lev playable. Using each subsequent character puts players through two tracks to eventually make all 10 characters available. There aren't any outright bad characters in TLOU 2 Remastered's No Return game mode, and personal playstyle will certainly be a factor in choosing favorites, but each character's starting items and traits definitely help slot them into a loose hierarchy. Related The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered Review: "Among Gaming's Best-Told Stories" The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is a relatively small graphical leap, but a host of new additions make it an attractive rerelease for longtime fans. 10 Mel – Medic Starting Weapon: Revolver Mel's kit would suggest she's built for longevity, but the Health Kits alone don't necessarily help in completing encounters. With a tremendous amount of luck in Trading Post items and the order of encounters, Mel's penchant for healing might help on higher difficulties, where enemies dole

GamingWill the Clickers still be clicking at the end of TLOU 2?by Jen GlennonThe June 19 release date for Naughty Dog's long-awaited sequel, The Last of Us Part II, is just around the corner. In a wide-ranging interview about the already controversial PS4 exclusive, director Neil Druckmann discussed his reaction to the recent plot leaks, his ambitions for the project, and the possibilities ahead. He revealed that those plans may include The Last of Us Part III.In a June 9 interview with GQ's Sam White, Druckmann said he's already given some thought to what comes next in the ruined, near-future world of Joel and Ellie. “As you start wrapping things up, creatively there are fewer and fewer responsibilities and my mind can’t help but think about the next thing,” he says. “So, yeah, the next thing could be a Part III, the next thing could be some new IP." That's far from a solid confirmation that the series will continue, but at this point it seems like a pretty safe bet. HBO recently ordered a pilot based on the franchise, which will be directed by Johan Renck, known for his work on Chernobyl, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. Druckmann will write the pilot alongside Renck's Chernobyl collaborator Craig Mazin. If the HBO show gets a full-season order, that's likely to spark interest in the games amongst a broader audience, as was the case with The Witcher on Netflix.Part II probably won't be the last of this franchise.Sony Interactive Entertainment / Naughty DogThere's another big clue that we haven't seen the last of Last of Us: Sony's recent PlayStation Studios announcement is a pretty obvious sign that the company intends to go all-in on expanding its IP beyond games in the coming years. We've only seen a small part of this world, with Ellie and Joel in the first game operating in relative isolation. Even though much of the population has been decimated by the Cordyceps infection, there are still countless new faces to meet and stories to tell within this rich setting. At a glance, Druckmann's comments also suggest something about the ending of The Last of Us Part II — not so much what happens, but what doesn't happen. If Part III is top of mind for Druckmann, this seems to suggest that the Cordyceps infection isn't eliminated or brought under control by the end of the second
