Some of the best aspects of the Pacific designs will be adopted into the Lawrence product line.Lawrence Roll-Up Doors, a third-generation family business, was established in 1925. Pacific Rolling Door started business in 1946.Chamberlain Forms Access Solutions DivisionIn July, Chamberlain announced the formation of Chamberlain Access Solutions, a new division that combines the recently acquired Digitech International and PTI Integrated Systems with Chamberlain’s Telephone Entry Systems group. David Mack, who served as general manager of PTI Integrated Systems, will lead this new division.Chamberlain’s current access solution product lines, as well as existing Digitech and PTI branded products, will be offered through Chamberlain Access Solutions. This includes LiftMaster gate access systems and door operators.Managers from all three businesses will form the division’s leadership teams. (Chamberlain’s Telephone Entry Systems) locations.Clopay Receives “Best Buy” RatingIn July, Clopay Building Products announced that it received a Consumers Digest “Best Buy” award for its Clopay Classic Line Value Series of garage doors.Products were selected on the basis of appearance, construction, hardware durability, and materials. The rating is typically awarded to + c q | q | (8) Further derivation gives a P ˜ l + c ( P ˜ l × R r l P ˜ r ) | P ˜ l × R r l P ˜ r | = b ( R r l ) P ˜ r + T r l (9) Suppose that A = P ˜ l − R r l P ˜ r q | q | 3 × 3 Equation (9) can be simplified into Equation (10): a b c = A − 1 T r l . (10) We can then derive coefficients a, b, and c, and use a and c to calculate P m i d , as shown in Equation (12): P m i d = a P ˜ l + 1 2 ( c q | q | ) (11) Here, P m i d is the 3D location of the target object with regard to the left camera coordinate system. Using M l w , we can convert the coordinates from the left camera system to the world coordinate system, as shown in Equation (12). This matrix can be reversely obtained using extrinsic parameter M w l of the left camera. 2.4. Estimation Error AnalysisEven using the algorithm above to calculate the 3D location of the target object, errors still exist in the data, and they increase with the distance between the target object and the origins of the camera coordinate systems. This section analyzes the errors in the use of the camera systems to calculate the locations of the target object. Here, we used a PTI motion capture system to serve as the control group for the 3D locations obtained using the three cameras. Figure 8 exhibits the 25 trackers that we used. The world coordinates of the PTI motion capture system overlapped those of the camera systems, meaning that the camera systems and the PTI motion capture system had the same world coordinates. To calculate the errors, we employed two stereopsis groups, one using the right camera (camera#1) and the left camera (camera#2) to calculate the 3D location of the PTI tracker and the other using the left camera (camera#2) and the auxiliary camera (camera#3). Using cubic interpolation, we derived a new error distribution graph. Figure 9 displays the distributions of the errors interpolated using cubic polynomials in the two stereopsis groups. As can be seen, the errors increase with the distances between the left and right cameras and the trackers and is highest at Tracker No. 21, where the error is 40 mm. With the left camera and the auxiliary camera, the two cameras are closer to Tracker No. 21, so the error reduces

Anyone who’s been flying in and out of Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI) in recent years has noticed constant work going on all around the place – and not just work related to the new 1000-acre aviation megasite that’s drawing in new companies. The airport’s main terminal, the parking lots and parking systems, the road that serves the terminal, have all seen improvements – and the airport has constructed a new tower and made runway renovations as well. However, actions by the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority on Tuesday, April 23, show that PTI has a long way to go in its renovation and modernization efforts, which include a number of enhancements to the terminal and the surrounding areas. At the April 23 meeting, the board voted unanimously to award a contract to Tremco Inc. to supply materials for the “Main Terminal Roof Re-covering Project.”The total cost of that contract will be $1,809,221.At that same meeting this week, the board also unanimously agreed to contract with AAR of North Carolina, Inc. to provide the labor and other services for that same roof re-covering project. That contract is priced at $842,000.In another contract award, the Airport Authority approved a contract with Green State Power, LLC to upgrade the lighting in the airport’s parking deck. The total price of that contract – “based on estimated quantities” – is $1,435,000.The approval of these improvements follows on the heels of the Authority’s March meeting, when the seven-member board contracted with Baker Underground, Inc., at a cost of $1,065,298, for a water and sewer extension project along Bentley Road.(At that March meeting PTI Executive Director Kevin Baker noted that he has no affiliation with Baker Underground, Inc. For instance, the company is not run by his brother or anything.)At that same meeting last month, the Airport Authority also awarded a contract to Lindsey Architecture, P.C. to provide the architectural and engineering design services for the Authority’s Terminal Modernization Project.Construction administration services aren’t part of this contract: This is for the design phase, which is expected to be complete by July of next year. Payment will be based on the hourly rates and expenses of Lindsey. The current total of estimated fees and expenses under the contract is $13,428,986.
