01-18-2005, 02:06 PM #1 LOTUS 123 TO EXCEL 2003 I work for a company that is converting all of their Lotus 123 (Dos VersionRelease 2.2) spreadsheets to Excel.I do not understand this Lotus formula =AND(A9>=$AA$2,A9AC2.The "A" column is full of dates.AA2 has another date January 1, 2005, and AB2 has another date January 31,2005.A9 is a dashed line no date or pertinent information. When I can theformula to A10 which is the first cell with a date the AC2 cell now says trueor false.I want the formula to look at the whole column and determine which dates arein between 01-01-05 and 01-31-05. Can someone help me write this formula.--bb 01-18-2005, 03:06 PM #2 Re: LOTUS 123 TO EXCEL 2003 becky wrote...>I work for a company that is converting all of their Lotus 123 (DosVersion>Release 2.2) spreadsheets to Excel.>>I do not understand this Lotus formula =AND(A9>=$AA$2,A9cell>AC2.....This would be the Excel translation of a 123 formula. It's checkingwhether the value of cell A9 falls between the values of cells AA12 andAB12. It does this by checking if A9 is greater than or equal to AA2*and* then whether A9 is less than or equal to AB2. The original 123formula would have been+A9>=$AA$2#AND#A9>A9 is a dashed line no date or pertinent information. When I can the>formula to A10 which is the first cell with a date the AC2 cell nowsays true>or false. That's what the AND function does in Excel. Can someone help me write thisformula.Excel can do that, but how do you want to results of which cells in colA are between these dates and which aren't displayed? It appears theoriginal 123 workbook displayed them as 1s (between) or 0s (notbetween). 01-18-2005, 05:06 PM #3 Re: LOTUS 123 TO EXCEL 2003 HarlanThank you for the information. 06-30-2021, 06:21 PM #1 Registered User Max If with blank cell condition I am trying to modify a normal Max If formula to return the most recent date in a table given a lookup value. However, in the data table, there may be instances where the cells are blank. If any of them are, I would like to return 0. I would only like to return the most recent date if all cells in the found array have values. See below for example.Adam1975Adam1976Adam1977Joe1978JoeJoe1979From this table, if I use Adam as my lookup value, I would like the output to be 1977. However, if I use Joe as the lookup value, I would like the output to be 0 due to one of the cells being blank for Joe. I have tried to do however, it is just returning the normal return as if I was using a normal Max If formula. Any help on what formula would accomplish this would be appreciated. 06-30-2021, 08:50 PM #2 Re: Max If with blank cell condition Try put this on empty cell :=MAX(IF(A1:A6=D2,B1:B6))then PRESS ALL TOGETHER CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER because this array formula 06-30-2021, 08:57 PM #3 Re: Max If with blank cell condition Try this:{=IF(COUNTIFS($A:$A,C1,B:B,"")>0,0, MAX(IF($A:$A=C1, $B:$B)))} 07-01-2021, 12:10 AM #4 Re: Max If with blank cell condition Try this =IF(SUMPRODUCT(1*($A$2:$A$7=C2))=SUMPRODUCT(($A$2:$A$7=C2)*($B$2:$B$7"")),AGGREGATE(14,6,$B$2:$B$7/($A$2:$A$7=C2),1),0) Pl noteArray formula should be confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter keys together. If answere is satisfactory press * to add reputation. 07-01-2021, 11:15 PM #5 Registered User Re: Max If with blank cell condition Originally Posted by Phuocam Try this:{=IF(COUNTIFS($A:$A,C1,B:B,"")>0,0, MAX(IF($A:$A=C1, $B:$B)))} This was perfect!!
