I don't see it actively dim, just seems a little dimmer than a few minutes ago. I have Intel HD Graphics 5500. I disabled (has been all along) the Display Power Saving Technology in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. I do not have Enable Adaptive Brightness in advanced Power Options in Control Panel. There is also no brightness adjustment slider in Control Panel (maybe they did away with it here). If if disable the HD Graphics Display adapter in device manager, my screen is bright like I would expect. If I re-enable if dims a little. Also, in the BIOS, if I change the LCD brightness level, I do not get the option to Apply. Both bars are usually at 100% in the BIOS, but occasionally, one or both will be less than 100%. Here is a listing of function keys for your model...HereYou shouldn't mess with the default power profiles. Generally they run full power plugged in and power down low on battery power. The CPU clocks down slower and brightness dims a bit which conserves energy. If you decide to want to run everything full even on battery you should create a new custom profile instead and toggle between the profiles. If you do mess around and goof something up with the original profiles it's hard to roll back to what you had before. There can be a lot of adverse effects messing with power profiles.
